Insurance question/advise

This is for my cousin so I dont know much of the details but I can get it.

She was in an at fault accident which she rear ended someone. The body is now repaired but they said the power steering pump is not working. They towed the car to a Honda dealer and they are saying that the damage was not caused by the accident.

So what now? The power steering was working before but not after yet its not caused by the accident? Is she hooped or is there still a way to get this covered.

Well, unless another shop is willing to state in writing that the pump was damaged in the accident then she's on her own for the repair.

You have to be able to prove that it was damaged in the accident.
