^^Thanks Signature!

Yeah Mario I was just pricing out a felxalite rear glass set. 599 for all three pieces and 266 for just the hatch peice. That and a cf hatch Id be sub 2000 easy. Yank the seat and pass headlight on track days and I'm laughing. Just need more power.......

Hey Buddy.
I'm totally diggin what you're doing with the car.

There's so much pleasure & satisfaction to be gained from taking a sub standard car (in terms of condition) then giving it some TLC to restore her to former glory.
Can't wait to see the end product!

SeeAreEx
03-19-2010, 05:49 PM
Thanks alot man. Yeah its been so satisfying enjoying the process so far. Within the next year this car will take a change for the better. I have quite a plan set out in my mind. Stay tuned for that.

Little update.

I took off the winter wheels/tires/lugnuts, removed my spare and teh rear seatbelt bolts and drove down to the scales again today after work. She's sitting at 920kgs/2024 pounds with a 1/4 tank of gas and I still need to install my cf hood. About to order some parts to lighten the load even more.

Oh no the k swap won't officially begin until the fall. I'll b driving her as she is for the summer so I'll definitely be out for the meets and shows and track events. I'm just going to stock pile the parts for a huge winter build up. Paint k series everything.

Make that 3 of us for k parts. Ill probably go k24 and just adapt my current turbo setup to it.

Hey Jason any reason your going with ktuned specifically? I been liking hybrid racing stuff alot more. Seems to be more r&d put into the parts and quality is up there from what I've seen atleast. I really want to get the new hybrid shifter package but it costs a mint.

jdmgt
04-03-2010, 10:46 AM
I get a good deal with k tuned, that's why I go with them mostly. There are some parts that I will get from other places. But most will be from there. What mounts do you plan on running?

Haha my plan was to k24 this year but that was prior to having 2 winter beaters shit the bed since December and buying new ones. Then i thought about just selling my turbo set up and everything to go k20r but im too much of a boost whore lol

jdmgt
04-03-2010, 12:54 PM
you dont need the k20r. just run a k20a, with the z1 cams.

the z1 and k20r cams are identical

If i buy new it will be hybrid i think. I'm trying to do this swap somewhat cheaply so from now till fall i'll have my eyes peeled for used parts to complete my list. I still have alot to do to the car in the meantime so don't want to sacrifice one for the other.

jdmgt

Check out k20a.org tons of used parts at great prices. Most of the parts are from people in the U.S. Though

Picked up some gold skunk2 lcas from Jason last night. Going to swap them for my gp racings since the bushings are replaceable and will be better for the track time this car is going to see. Hope to get them on this week. Forgot to mention the skunk2 magnetic drain plugs and spoon socks i've had for a couple of weeks now to.

Ps. password jdm powdercoating is the real deal. Shit is tough and hard to get off!

SeeAreEx

Sentry
04-04-2010, 06:39 PM
I didn't think stripper would even work on powder coat. If I were you I'd be looking for someone with a bead blaster.

SeeAreEx

Before I shut the car off the kid was bangin on my window saying I ran over his computer. Never felt anything or heard anything. I'm also putting together a bumper quick release kit very similar to the old srr ones that are so rare these days. I may be putting a few extras together if anyone is interested. Good for track days or those with intercoolers or getting into a pesky driveway/garage in my case. Should have some pics up soon.

SeeAreEx
04-28-2010, 07:24 PM
It's actually alot more like these. Only with better mounting hardware. Bolts/nuts/washers instead of screws and clips. I agree they aren't for everyone but they will save you some time if you frequently take your bumper off and on. You could mount them in many diff locations and probably hide them pretty well if you wanted to.

Yeah it is a wings west rs , Mugen gen 1 copy.

Picking up some spoon goodies and a full width dual core rad this weekend. More surprises to come!

SeeAreEx
02-17-2011, 06:20 PM
So the last few days were pretty eventfull for the project. Picked up a 95 integra gsr with an "unknown" engine problem so the motor will be hauled shortly and rebuilt regardless of the issue. Lots of upgrades will be happening in that regard.

Grabbed a spoon fan switch, thermostat , duracon shift knob last night and a mishimoto full rad on the weekend that will be installed come spring.

Lots of other plans and things are in the works just a matter of time. I will post up some pics as soon as I get a chance!

SeeAreEx
