A bunch of us from our office quite often go out for Chinese buffet lunch on Fridays but the place we've been going to is getting a little tired (Bonavista Mall). It's not that there's anything wrong with it, I'd just like to try something different. Let me know if there is any place you would recommed in the Bonavista / Parkland / Deer Run areas. I guess anything South of Anderson Road, East of Macleod.

TIA.

If you don't mind going a little further, there's a Asian Buffet in the stripmall right across the street from Rona on Macleod.

i think it's actually called "Asian Buffet" haha

Are you looking for Chinese food specifically? There's the Gold Bistro in Midnapore.

It's in the building to the right (east) of the "A". You'll see the main building for the mall. It's in a smaller strip mall across from the building where Value Village is.

Okay, I know where you're talking about. Same building as the Little Caesars right? So the buffet, you've had it? It's decent? We're not looking for something amazing, just different than the usual place.

That's right by Little Ceasar's. It's pretty good. They even have some dim sum samplers (shrimp dumplings, sticky rice) if you're into that. Awesome chicken wings.

So someone suggested the Ginger Beef place in Willow Park Village this morning. Ya, we won't be going there again. I didn't know you could make chinese food greasy.

I'd say try the Asian Buffet place. At night they serve Salmon Sashimi and random sushi's. They also have a "Mongolian Grill" where you pick ingredients off the side, and some dude grills it up for you in different sauces that you pick.

And of course the usual dimsum/chicken wings/salad/desserts and various "Chinese" dishes.

I usually go during the evening, but I've heard in the afternoon they have more dimsum selections.

Sure. I've never had greasy chinese buffet before. The little place we go to in Bonavista Mall (I think it's just Bonavista Peking House) isn't greasy at all. Their selection is just a bit limited.

Just a tip, if you go for buffets, go during their peak hours when the kitchen is cooking up a storm and the place is busy. Everything will be hot and fresh etc. Don't go 20mins before closing and wonder why everything is so greasy and stale etc.

Oh for sure. We only go right at lunch time on Friday. Probably the busiest time of the week.
