I'm no newb to accessing router settings, or running a wireless network.

Anyways, trying to change the password on my wireless, normally I just type in 192.168.0.1, or whatever the gateway is, and bam, at the router settings. Problem is, no matter what I type in, and i've tried every possible IP address, it just takes me to a blank internet explorer "this page does not exist" page. It used to work... and now it doesn't. I've released and renewed the IP, tried all PC's on the network, no luck. Thoughts? Should I reset the router?

CMD then type Ipconfig /all

note your Default Gateway, that IP is the address you need to go to in IE to change settings

maybe do a hard reboot on the router to put everything back to default?

make/model?

router interface is sometimes only available from WIRED network, not from the wireless crap

This can also be a setting, restrict administration to WIRED network connection only.

If all else fails, stick a pen/paperclip/whatever into the tiny reset hole in the back, hold for like 5secs (till the lights do something interesting) and you're back to defaults... if you forget the password, or break the settings...

Make sure the router is actually connected to the computer... It could be something simple as a loose network cable.

Safe bet:

Unplug your internet modem and router for 90 seconds after that plug in your internet modem first and then the router, restart your computer and try again.

Most likely though the wireless may be turned off and you'll need to restart it.

what everyone has said,

but you haven;t stated is this wireless connection or wired connection?

some routers can only be accessed thru the wired connection
