I'm looking to buy a digital camera that will primarily be used in dark lighting situations, what should I look out for? Can anyone recommend any models to me?

You probably will want something that has a "hotshoe" on it so you can place an external flash on it to get proper lighting.

Check this website, it's one of the better sites for all kinds of digital cameras:

http://www.dpreview.com/

or for actual people who use the cameras your looking for check out here:

http://www.pcphotoreview.com/defaultcrx.aspx

and one last site:

Good luck in your search!

Look for a camera with "Slow Shutter System". Most cameras do have that option. The only thing is that you better now be shooting anything moving or else it will be blurry. The Sony DSCV1 also has nightshot/nightframing which allows you take pics in absolute darkness w/ a green filter (nightshot), or just to line up pics (nightframing).
