Seriously???? Someone seriously asked you for an estimate on this??? I knew the estimate I asked for was probably pushing the limits of PDR, but this?????

Hammer out the other side and it'll be good as new. You won't need new tailights as there is already tape holding them safely in place.

Well professionally, I really do take every inquiry seriously and answer to the best of my abilities.

My line of business is still not well-known as a legitimate auto repair method (as long as it meets certain criterias), hence, benefit of doubt should go to general public.

I spend endless hours just on Beyond posting my opinions (on my FREE time) purely to provide an open line of communication within my industry and the public... Mostly neutral information so that even properly skilled competitors will benefit.

If there're any suggestions as to how I can make people understand what "PDR" is about, I'm all ear. Anyways, OP's identity is protected, but just so people don't think I made that up (i.e. taking photos at a junkyard) to boost readership.

Rear end is almost always the person behinds you fault.

He/she wasn't being stupid, they knew that it was probably out of the scope of your shop.

Sucks for that newish car!

If you read the original PM TomCo got the guy even said he knew its beyond his scope and just asked for a professional opinion on a repair estimate knowing TomCo himself could not fix it.

That being said, it is actually will cost $20K to fix the car, I honestly think the person is better off getting the money and just buying a new car.

Just my $0.02

:werd: The guy was asking someone with no business interest in repairing his vehicle, but could perhaps have an idea of the cost to fix it for his opinion...
