this car has been about a 3 year build for me come spring. been thru lots of parts, blood, sweat and tears....and money...lol.

but ya hows the scene here, you guys head out friday nights here? im hoping there's a decent honda/import representation here in cowtown, looking to meet some cool ppl too!
im excited for summer here, i've visited calgary twice be4 this, and liked it so much i found a job here.
where do you guys find local parts?
any local shops to reccomend? dyno's? places to get my car alberta saftied? any help is appreciated. =)

lol the scene here is hibernate in the winter and play in the summer, i find we dont take summers for granted here cause we only have a few months worth of good driving weather and usually make good use of it. during which you can do meets, cruises, track days and the saturday night timmy's gatherings full of highly intelligent kids, i highly suggest not to but to each their own..

Or unless you're a maniac and want to drive your hard work on Calgary winter streets , idk what its like in winnipeg for winter driving but if you already havent found out, every car driven in winter here has bumper/windshield rock chips. :thumbsdow

haha yaman winter in wpg is like 5X colder than here in cowtown, and for more months...so needless to say thats why im excited for summer here haha.
and no i def dont winter drive my K...i have 3 hatches haha... a 93 eg i left with the ex in wpg, a 96 ek here as my beater, and then my 98 K... you could say im a honda guy =P

damn man i used to go to mrs. mikes all the time, on tache and marion or goulet, whichever it was... i worked @ powerland comps for awhile doing mts installs for them so i'd go there for lunch all the time. where u from?

Normally, Honda Civics bore me because
a) There are so many of them in Calgary.
b) So many of them are done up. Poorly.
You'll see what I mean after the "tuners" come out in the spring.

But your car is very definitely an exception. Not only is it clean, and tastefully done, but it is actually FAST!
Good work, I can always appreciate a car that has obviously seen blood, sweat, and tears regardless of what it is.

thanks guys once again! ya i love my ride, couple more days and i'll be driving it in the peg, and then i'll be drivin her home with me to calgary sunday morning.
the r32 was built fine we're pretty sure it had something to do with loose injectors and a leaky rear cam seal dripping onto the exhaust manifold....my buddy is the kind of guy that has to take everything apart 7 times and put it back together so there's no way i can honestly say it was a shops fault.....
tho whats weird is i remember him waking me up and telling me he had a dream that his car was on fire and he couldnt put it out. the next day we fully detailed it and cleaned it for the first time, and that night it caught fire idling. so trippy that he dreamt about it the night be4....

reviving the thread again, but it's official, drove the k20 in this weekend, got another 20ish days of manitoba insurance be4 i HAVE to get the oop, but already got that figured out. so all's good :)
