The other day my brother in-law said that he saw an aftermarket tiptronic shifter. Any thoughts on this?? I thought I would throw out the question to you guys to see if anyone knew about it or if it is :bullshit:
I trust my bro in-law cause as far as I know he is an excellent mech, but I had never heard about it and when I did a search in it I could not find anything.

they have aftermarket no-clutch sequential shifters... but those rape you for like $15,000US
they have weird clutch sequential shifters for a few grand....
so i don't see why they shouldn't have aftermarket tiptronic shifters?

I suppose if you are willing to pay the cash to get one retrofitted, all the power to you. But if you want one so bad just buy a car with one, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than getting one fitted.

He was talking that they are comming to canada at about $500.00
It's really not a big deal to me, I was just curious about it. I am hoping to have a manual car over the next year.

for $500 theres no way you can go from 5 sp manual to 5 sp trip... like stated before the cheapest ive seen is a system for audi/vw gearbox that goes for 5000 usd without installation
