Sure boggles the mind. Astrology is always something I really wanted to do either as a hobby or as a career.

Good videos.

I find myself thinking exactly how insignificant certain things are in the grand scheme of things whenever it's a clear night and stars are visible. Never know what's out there.

And to think the hubble space telescope is old technology. I wonder if they are thinking of replacement, or major upgrades? I mean look at handhelds, and the advances they've been having over the last year.

Nice videos

Nice videos

The final servicing is due for later this year, which should be good until like 2012 or 2013, after which the Hubble will be finally put to bed.

The replacement will be the James Webb Space Telescope:

Having your own telescope (even cheap shitty ones) can be pretty cool sometimes.

A buddy and I were chillin' at his place, playing some video games and he says to me, "D00d, apparently you can see Saturn and it's rings tonight." I thought that was pretty cool, being quite the nerdy kind of guy myself.

So he busted out his telescope, got 'er all setup, and I got to have an up close view of Saturn and its rings. Super bitchin'!
