Just getting ready to trailer the car up to my shop. It's an 89 daytona.

2.5 t2
toyota supra intercooler
built auto trans with quaffie LSD
spare holset mounted to a manifold
255lph walbro fuel pump
1 year old paint and body
pyrometer
adjustable FPR
air/fuel ratio gauge
two piece intake

All I have to do to get it running is decide if I want to mount the hx 35, or if i want to keep the garret t2 on there. Install the struts, the radiator, intercooler, a bit of wiring, and a new trans cooler.

This car has me pumped for the summer season. All my plans are is a 13.XX pass , suspension upgrades, a cage and lots of auto cross.

Here's some pics.
It's dirty yes. Been sitting in my buddies drive way for some months now.

Turbo Daytonas are getting pretty rare (Turbo Zs especially), so it's nice to see one that's being used for its intended purpose instead of rotting in a back yard.

What kind of transmission cooler are you going to install?

What kind of transmission cooler are you going to install? I'm not sure. It's mounted in the front already, just needs to have the lines routed and plugged in.

The tranny is a quaffie with lsd built by clint who had the crazy turbo caravan , who used to work for mopac.

Sweeeet. I get a kick out of the 2.2 rofl. I think the block originated in what....1960 something? it wasnt even intended for turbo, and yet people mave no problem making massive horsepower out of it. Sick little engine....

^^ I don't know why I've liked these cars, but I do.

The IROC R/T was a pretty cool car.

have an update. and no its not an hx35 i think its a hy35 i looked at it closer today.

Went out to carstairs and put the struts, axles, balljoints, calipurs and brakes on, took pics, had a really shitty lunch at some crappy chinese food place and took pics.

how i gotta install the trans cooler, radiator, intercooler, some vacuum lines, powersteering pump alternator, fluids, bleed the brakes and start it :) hope to have it home this weekend. a tow from carstairs is almost $200 so im doing what a true TD'er does and build it in the driveway

can't wait dave! I need to get my shadow together and see who is faster. LOL :D

good to see there are people out here that respect turbo dodges for what they are, cheap, easy to modify and can be made pretty fast for not alot of money, I hope for mid 13's out of my dodge shadow on a stock shortblock. just porting, a turbo and bolt ons and a tune

Thanks for the good replies everybody.

Here are some updated photos. Got the front end half assed put together to get her home! She's now within walking distance to my house, so I can continue working on her whenever I want. I'm stoked to have her home.

lol, I have your old car sitting in my garage. New gloss black paint on her too, she looks sharp.

Played around with it last year at 24 PSI on a stock 2.5 shortblock, could roast the tires in 3rd gear at 100km/hr on the highway with a T3/T4 hybrid.

This year its getting a little bit different setup. 2.5L Block is at the machinists place getting bored+honed for the Ross Racing piston/Eagle H-beam combo.

Shooting for 350-400 WHP... I have a word file 2 pages long of everything I've bought for it so far, and probably missing a hell of a lot more too.

And nice score Dave, saw the car on T-2, looks clean.
