Finally picked her up last night. http://www.e90post.com/forums/images/smilies/happyanim.gif

Its an 08 335i coupe. Pretty much fully loaded. Alpine White on black leather. Sport/Premium/Nav/Comfort Access.

Took a few quick pictures today, it is filthy from driving around in Calgary yesterday so i have yet to wash it. Very happy with going with a 335i. Much more comfortable then the M3 and is tons of fun to drive.

I have to play around with the Idrive to get used to it, and there are so many features that this car has that i need to get familar with.

As of now she is completely stock other then the wheels and tires that its sitting on. First things first i need to get that ugly front plate off and get painted reflectors. I have an aero lip on the way, black kidneys and an m3 trunk lip spoiler. Going to try to get my hands on the M-tech side skirts and rear bumper before summer comes around and go with the Dinan Stage 2. Will also look into a mild drop.

I'll have to take some nice pictures of it when i get those pieces put on and i get the car cleaned up. For now, a few quick pics!

**EDIT**

Had to do a proper "New car" shoot. Enjoy!

Haha i have seen a lot of e90s around lately actually and a few 5 series. Last week at the mall i saw a 335i, a black one. Younger guy as well.. I don't think he drives it around very much though. I remember we were checking out each others cars when i still had my LSB M3 last year. :)

You finally pulled the trigger on one!

Good stuff dude. Black interior? IIRC didn't you want something red/cinammon?

Yeah well the 335i doesn't have cinammon as an interior color, the closest thing to that is the saddle brown interior. I couldn't find one with a red interior exept for a black 07 but it wasn't for me. I don't mind the black, its going to match my white/black exterior theme:

Get the black/white roundels as well :)

I like black interiors, also makes the tint appear darker too.

Hey man, I have black kidneys that I might want to get rid of. I got them before I bought my car and never installed them. Let me know if you are looking for a set.

A BMW has the pricks on the inside!! :dunno:

Hahaha

You need a bit of a spacer (2-3 mm) in the rear for some extra flushness:

How does the e46 m3 compare in terms of handling to the 335i. I would imagine the 335i is faster.

benyl

The trouble with the M3 is the steering ratio of the early cars. I think 2005 and later cars got the same ratio as the M3 ZCP that was much quicker. Even the 330Ci ZHP had a much quicker ratio than the 2004 and older M3.

The M3 is much rougher and more direct. The LSD changes the behavior of the car at the limit. The 335 likes to understeer more than I would like it too, but there are cheap fixes for that (get the E92 M3 strut bars) as many of the suspension components on the E92 M3 are the same as the 335 (close to 90% the same). The 335 needs and LSD badly.

Yeah your right about that. Looks much better on your car..

Pretty much what benyl said. The 335i you get more of a feel for luxury on the 335i. The m3 is stiffer and rougher and the 335i is very comfortable and quiet. The car needs an LSD for sure and upgraded suspension parts, but it really makes up in other areas.

It feels bigger and a bit heavier. I am enjoying the torque and all the goodies in this car though. I loved my LSB but i don't regret making the upgrade at all.

How does a $50k+ performance car not have an LSD?

Only the M-cars are equipped with LSDs.

Love the width of those rear tires...In my opinion this is one of the only new bmw's that are nice. Good choice.

Thanks
Yeah there isn't a whole lot of other BMW's i even considered. I like the look of the 5 series but it is too big of a car for me. It was between this, another E46 M3, a Z4M (too small though) or an Audi S5. The Audi was too expensive. If i were going to spend that much i would just get an E92 M3.
