Did this happen to anyone else today? Happened to me and 2 of my friends. How do you release it? If I park it in a heated garage would that loosen it back up?

Yup, heated garage would do it.

This used to happen on my Escort. I'd get a big bowl of hot water, dump half on each wheel then drive. The back wheels would break loose right away and I'd have to do some hard braking to warm them up so the water didn't freeze them up again.

Parking in a warm spot will probably work too ;)

have someone smack the wheels with your tire iron as you try to move

if you are on a dry patch ie no ice try deflating your tire abit so you can get some traction to try and break them free. when i worked at varsity the used cars rear wheel breaks would get really bad lot rot thats what we did to break them free

hold the gas pedal down all of the way
then go quickly from D to N to R back and fourth
the car will be fixed

if it's standard hold the pedal down so it is revving high
then slowly (over 2 minutes) let the clutch out. you will smell the breaks warming up - that is normal.
the car will be fixed

it has rear drums but I parked it over night in the garage and it worked perfect the next day then got stuck when it used it. Now Im just going to leave it in first and not use the ebrake

I've had it happen before. But I tried to drive once since my car is awd. But it just made my rear rotpea red lol. I replaced the rotpea and leave it in gear now. I have forgot a few times then I just smack my calipers with a tire iron. Works good
