What do you do to build muscle in your upper bicep - the part closest to your front deltoid?

Don't give me dumbbell curls.

I have no clue what you are asking...but,

Hammer curls, will work your bracialis and push the head of your bicep out...

Otherwise just do heavy back work... rows/chins etc...

If you must... do think bar barbell curls and work your grip and forearms at the same time... just stay out of the fucking power rack....

Work out at fitness world where some dude benching 455 asks your 167lb ass to spot.

True story. I am glad he still lives today. My arms back and eyeballs hurt.

Was his name Bob or something like that? About 6'2, like 255-260lbs? That fucker asked me to spot a 450 bench and I could only do 180, crazy fucker.

This.

There is no way to target a specific part of your biceps. Its shape is predetermined.

Go Hard everyone!

If someone has the balls to do this TO THE T, post up your results.

I personally know of someone who did it and put on a REAL 3/8" on their arms.

1/2"-1" is said to be possible if followed correctly. Said person had to change some stuff due to circumstance.

lol, you know just for kicks I'm going to try this. I'll take before and after pictures and post them up here. I doubt the gains will be as impressive as they suggest but we'll see.

I doubtful about the articles credibility though, the amount of creatine they suggest ingesting is ridiculous. Your body cannot absorb 10g of creatine in one dose. It's not possible. Taking 10g at once means you are just going to piss out 7-8g and shut down creatine absorption for the day.

Tnation

The day after is also characterized by what Vancouver personal trainer Kosta Kromidas calls PATS, or "Poliquin Arm Training Syndrome." This condition is characterized by not being able to flex or extend your arms properly. As you walk around, arms glued to your sides, don't be surprised if strangers start pointing to you and saying, "Get a load of Lurch.".

Haha, last year I went to work on biceps with a friend who is much bigger than me, he pushed me to do his weight or as close to it as I could, I had my arms stuck at 90 degree angles for 5 days, I looked like a jackass, I couldn't straighten my arms.

Interesting workout, even if I don't try it, I will use some of those techniques.

A friend of mine has tried this when he told me he spent a full day working out his arms following this routine....:nut:

His arms went from 17 to 17.5; I am guessing the smaller you're the bigger gains you would see...I am gonna give it a shot this summer after velocity diet.

Actually I think the longer you've been "stuck" and everything's been spot on is when you'll see the biggest gains. 90% of all the "plateaued" people could start making gains again by adjusting diet. It's so easy it's dumb.

Careful with this right after the velocity diet. You'll still be somewhat glycogen depleted. As soon as you take in all the carbs recommended with the routine for the day you'll "fill" out anyway.

Try it like after a week of Normal routine eating. Not right after the 2 week transition.

So you're not going to follow it as prescribed? If Poliquin says take 10G, dammit man take 10G! :nut:

Lol, yes do pictures. I'm curious.. I already know it works - to an extent.

Well I was aiming for more like a month after velocity diet but I'll see how that goes. I've also read on of his articles where he said if you're 'stuck' with your arms growth then give it a 4 month break and you'll see much better results.

Well for now:

I've tried to search up what I've read but failed to turn up the article I was looking for. Basically it said that your body can absorb 3.5-4grams every 4 hours or so, there is a specific transport system which is utilized to bring creatine to your muscles. If you grossly overload it, it will shut down. It recommends if you wish to "load" you should take 4g every four hours for two days, then cut back to a maintenance level of 2g/day.

I'm still planning on starting a thread and trying out that workout. I've got to bring my weights home and it's now too close to finals to throw away an entire Saturday/Sunday to work out lol. Look for my thread come mid April.

It's only one day.

But nutrition has to be spot on for the next week for maximal gains.

Oh yes, I know. I meant either a Saturday or Sunday.
I had to stack 400 sheets of plywood this weekend (from storage, onto trailer, then stacked 10' the roof in my shed). But I did manage to bring my weights and bench home. Next weekend I won't be free either, then I'm into exams. Once exams finish, its on!!!

Any suggestions or links to a pre-week post-week diet? I know my diet is horrible, WAAYYY too many simple carb and sugars.
