Lettuce Stalks?

So i was the only white guy at TnT today (buying buns.. mmm bbq pork), and was watching this lady infront of me buy like 10x 2 foot long lettuce stalks..

Wtf are these used for? Anything good?

You peel/cut the skin off then slice them up and stir fry them like any other veggies. I'll bring some in next time we buy some for you to try along with some pig stomach and chicken feet :drool:

Those are thousand year old eggs and I don't mind them. Most commonly made with porridge, but there are dishes you can make with them as well. If you want to try, I can bring some in :D

Must be a Chinese thing cause I dont particulary like them although it does have a interesting chewy jello like texture but I do like the pieces of congealed blood in congee :drool:
