Does anyone know of ANY brands which would work on the Calgary Police signals.
I used to have an old crystal scanner which I would listen to loyally EVERY night. I miss that damn thing, I hated them for so long for changing to digital and rendering my radio useless!

If someone can provide me with brands or types to look for if its even possible.
Would one like this work?

Dave, you need a digital scanner:

And an APCO-25 digital decoder card, since Calgary Police are using that encryption method.

It's basically going to cost you $1000 CDN (those web prices are in USD) to listen into Calgary cops.

yet its hard to find people to import them, because alot of places wont send them out of country.

i can get you one for 280us shipd. Decoder will cost you same price. PM me if your interested. I have a scanner for sale on here that will scan everything but calgary frequencies, it just comes up as a digital type like fax sound when you go on their frequencies.

At least we're able to decode here in Calgary (yay, cause I want one too). Down in Vancouver they have an EDACS encrypted system, which there is currently no decoder card for.

Grrrrr, thats a lot, I will have to wait till I have some cash.
If anyone finds another source or whatnot for these things let me know. I miss my radio like I miss highschool girls :(
