Man these things are a life saver, especially in today's weather. My car just died in the middle of the dealership parking lot and they used one of these to boost me up again. I see these things range online from $50- $250+. I don't wanna buy one of the super cheap ones because you obviously get what you pay for.

So my questions are:

Where can you buy one locally?
What's a good price to buy one of these?
In my experience it was worth it today, but are they truly worth it? (Do they stop working after so long? If you leave them in your car trunk will it die? etc.)

Greggs Distributers are the only ones that i know of that have the better quality ones. you want one with high amps. That being said it'll run you around $250

At that price I don't think its worth it. Just carry boost cables with you and ask around people if they could give you a boost.

I got one for my ex. Pick up a decent one for $100 and you can't go wrong.

The ones I use at my work are charged up with just a normal AC adaptor plug so even if it just sits in your car and has no juice left, just plug it in overnight and your good to go again

This is the one we use and it works fine boosting big ass Titans/QX56's to small G35/G37's so you don't really need one with a high amp unless you live up in Fort Mac and drive a big ass truck

I've been using a Canadian Tire eliminator 700 for a few years. It powered my 5000lb winch on my car trailer for 2 years. They go on sale for $69.00

Seriously - wait for a C.Tire special. They go on for like... half price, and work just fine.

Whoa whoa whoa...

I played D&D when i was a kid... that yu-gi-oh bullshit isn't anywhere NEAR as cool as D&D was. :D

That being said, I definatly expected this to be about "booster packs" relating to cars. I own one, me and a cpl of my neighbors love it

Haha, don't tell me nobody traded Pokemon cards back in the day... Or maybe I'm just too young :(

I was just gonna say, don't go comparing D&D to yu-gi-oh. Not even in the same ballpark

As for the OP there are 2 problems you need to address about these booster packs.
1) If your car is dying places and doesn't restart on its own, maybe you should fix the problem instead of carrying a booster pack around
2) If you buy one, charge it up then let it sit in the car it will slowly go dead on its own (especially if left out in -30*C weather). So you can buy one and it will still be totally useless sometimes. Best bet is just to fix the problem as per 1)

I got a cheap Motomaster Eliminator from Canadian Tire when they were on sale. The nice thing about them is that they have a charge indicator and flashlight built in.
