Good day everyone.....
Just a quick, hopefully easy question for anyone to answer....
Is there such a Viper car starter that does not make use of the engines starter motor???

all a remote starter does is mimic the function of your key at the tumbler. a starter is built of of relays with no real mechanical parts to manipulate the vehicle. to start a vehicle the starter simply powers up the ignition harness doing the exact same thing you do when you turn your key. some vehicles may require a bypass or other computer integration to be able to start and those can be done by piggyback bypass modules but in the end all of them use the starter motor to crank over the engine.
