I'm in the market for a Natural Gas BBQ and since its still winter, its probably a good time to buy one now before prices get jacked up

My budget is $400 and so far my choices are the Stainless Steel Superstore model which is 57000BTU, with 3 heating elements/1 side burner for $399

Or possibly this one from Home Depot, $499 45000BTU with side burner

Heres another one I'm really leaning towards from CT

There are a few okay looking ones from Walmart but only seasonal so I dunno where else to look, any suggestions appreciated

If you are willing to spend $499. Get this one.

Broil King makes GREAT grills, and right now Barbecues Galore throws in a bunch of extras (cover, smoking box, brush, tongs etc).

+1

after shopping around at several big box stores, we finally decided to go barbecue's galroe and get a real BBQ.

don't mess around with that cheap shit they sell at the big box stores, unless you want to replace it in 3 years.

do a search, there is another bbq thread with quite a long discussion about barbecues galore

I've had the Centro 6800 for a couple years now, or at least the identical model from two years ago. Can't complain. It cooks shit when I want it to. :dunno:

This.

IMO, don't bother fucking around with stupid cosmetic shit. Fuck the cheap ass stainless and other tacky things they put on cheap BBQs to make them look pretty. Get something simple, with good burners (not those POS H-burners or similar) and a thick cast grilling surface. Too many people end up buying a BBQ based on looks and BTU, and end up getting a pretty cover on a shitty BBQ that's going to be burnt out in 2 years.
My Weber is a good 10 years old, and it works like it's brand new.

Also, WTF does anyone need 60,000+ BTU's for? I think my BBQ is in the 30,000 range, and I barely ever cook anything on high.

I would totally get that cause it has all those extras but there is no store here in Edmonton

And I live in a condo so this will be on my balcony year round, would getting a BBQ cover be a must?

I ended up going with this one but for some reason CT had their prices all messed up, in store this model was going for $524, but on the website it said $399 and for some reason the cashier who rang mine up, total was $367, but now CT updated their website and this model is now $699 so I lucked out buying mine when I did
