... what program would you suggest I look at?

I'm interested in audio production. Watching a film/video with audio that really falls in line (really suited to the mood, etc). I love music of all types. I enjoy amateur video editing, and with the right music, I think get shivers of perfection (if that makes sense).

Now... this is what really interests me. I'm thinking of pursuing such interests in a school like UofC or maybe SAIT, or maybe a school in the States. (suggestions?)

Would "Sound Engineering" fit my above "requirements" or is there another "technical" word for what I'm interested in?

Hope this makes sense. :D

there's a program at sait called ctsr. 2 year program about film and directing. Don't know if it has what your looking for though

actually i think the art department MAY have something.. i think. :P
apparently the art department also does photography too.

or just call the school FD... it'd prolly be easier and they could point u in the right direction

Sound engineering would involve designing acoustics from speakers, shielded rooms, etc... What you're looking for is more like artistic courses, like film studies or music production.

Yeah, I bet the CTSR(Cinema, Television, Stage, Radio) at SAIT (http://www.sait.ab.ca/calendars/daycalendar/courses/actsr.htm) would be what you're looking for.

I was looking at that course. Seems interesting enough.

Anyone here take that program or know anyone who is currently enrolled? I would love to speak with them -- see what they say about it.

There are a whole bunch of film study courses that you could check out at the University.
