For 2008 tax year rrsp deadline was March 2nd....as in End of Day March 2nd or like as soon as it's march 2nd starts?

I transfered a big chunk into my rrsp but because it was stupid PC it said the transfer happened on march 2nd....am I fucked?

Also I already submitted my tax return saying I contributed X ammount into the RRSP and if it doesn't count for this year...what do I do? (as in if my x ammount contributed was too late and it had to be done before March 2nd..)

March 2nd, 2009 Midnight. You're fine.

FYI, just as long as your intentions were ACTED UPON before the deadline, it'll be fine.

WHEEEEEEE! Thanks guys haha, I was freaking out major! Expecting a huge return (never contributed to RRSP and just did a lump sum), so I just wanted to clarify!

Thanks!

I had no T4 (messup with the first batch of T4s) so I wanted to Calculate what i would get back if I contributed that much, since I never done it before

The net impact of the contribution to your return is generally going to be your tax bracket times the amount contributed.
