ps1 memory card in a ps2?

nope dont work thats what ifirst thought when i bought my ps2 nope so ihad to go out and a by a ps2 memory card wich would run ya about 27-38 dollars kinda depends on were ya go i seen some for cheap at A&B sound

yep, I played Gran Turismo 2 on my Ps2.. but only a Ps1 memory card will save, a Ps2 memory card won't save Ps1 games.

well he was'nt specfic i thought he ment and he save ps2 games on a ps1 mem card so like ps1 games and mem card will work on a ps2 but not a ps2 card with a ps1 game

it shouldn't!
both ps1 and ps2 mcards fit and work on the ps2.
but you can only save ps2 games on a ps2 mcard and ps2 games on a ps1 mcard.
