on auto dream's web site they advertise a brand new greddy intake manifold for $875

I was looking on ebay and I found these "Ku engineering"
intake manifolds that claim to flow better then the greddy, and work out to be the same price by the time it makes it to your door.

link to ku engineering manifold on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=140304704347)

anyone ever hear of, or used ones of these Ku engineering intake manifolds? anyone know the differences between the two?
suggestions?

its for an S13 sr20det

thanks.

They 'look' ok but are actually pretty terrible for an aftermarket manifold. Runners are horribly unsmooth, If it were me I would stay away.

I have been reading good things about the ISIS manifold.
and its much cheaper than everything else.

That is a crappy Greddy knock off and has the worst casting inside...you get what you pay for.

+1 if you're able to, take a boroscope and compare a real greddy to an eBay one, I had the chance to see inside an eBay int mani and the texture is almost as rough as sidewalk cement.

I'll try to look around more if someone doesn't mention already, but there is an NZ company that makes intake manifolds which are highly regarded!

EDIT: They are called RIPS, website found here: http://ripsracing.com/index2.html

I'd check if they do S13 intakes, only reason I remembered about this was a potential buy for the RB when I had it. Very sweet manifolds but pricey!

andy's s14 winter beater actually gained 30ft/lbs tq by adding on the ku intake manifold.

we did a little modding to them so that the fuel and air will mix properly, but other then that, they are good manifolds where you can choose the size of the throttle body.

one of the problems was the injectors would shoot fuel on the side of the pipe and not directly into the motor, so we bored out the runners so that the injectors can inject the fuel directly in the motor.

and the other problem is that the throttle body would hit the hood, so with a slight modification, it'll fit.

on the dyno it made an extra 30ft/lbs?
