Regardless of mainstream or not, Guetta does put out some wicked bangers. He's also #5 on the DJ Magazine Top 100 list which is pretty reputable and he's the only House DJ in the top 10 as well (for now until the new list comes out).

Sometimes you can have luck with zippyshare or torrents. The problem with that specific song is I don't think it has been released so the only available versions are rips of it.

Couldn't find it on zippyshare either. I read somewhere that it wasn't/isn't gonna be released and you're only able to hear it at his shows. I had to rip it off itunes and the quality is shitty but it'll have to do cause the song is pretty wicked.

Youre going to have to specify which deadmau5 track as his style is really unique to the electronic music genre which makes him a really talented/diverse Dj imo, it spans from hard electro to electro, progressive and even vocal house with some of his remixs then all the way to a small venture into trance here and there, but finally a house thread, I'll post somemore tomorrow and maybe some of my sources, never had a place to dump all of my house tracks.

Not going at anyone here but I'm tired of the mainstream vs. underground arguments. If a song is good, it's good, right? Guetta always gets brought up and bashed but he's doing something right to be that successful.

I agree. What we call "underground" in North America is mainstream in Europe.

Only thing guetta does which is different is he gets together with north american main stream artists. Like that chick from Destiny's Child. Good song, just the chick bugs me.

that is of recent singles only, he just started doing that with that one song and now it's his 'thing'

But +1 on the downgrading music genre nonsense, Guetta is the 'Tiesto' of house in a way because his music is club-type house music and those people associated with that are the same 'bizarro' if you will, 'tiesto type kids' who drink jagerbombs and fake and bake in aviators, most of the hate stems from those who really enjoy the music and see what it has become.

I'm somewhat happy tho (and crossing my fingers tightly) that house music has not turned the way that trance has for the venues, i can still goto shows like Maseillo, Dresden, Angello and even slightly bigger parties like Sharam and feel almost the same 'comraderie' that trance shows used to be like back in the early '00s, no kiddies, people who know how to dance and respect each other because they're there for the music, not the bandwagon. You'll be hard pressed to find that for trance shows these days unless you brave the warehouse, which i did for callaghan, it's the only reason i can bear that place, is because the ppl there amongst other .. 'things' lol are there for the music period.

and sonofabitch i still dont have time to post my stuff up, gahh work is death. will do soon.

Just post a song or something. I'm sure someone can figure it out. All the blogs say they are for promotional use only and songs are to be deleted right after listening (yah right!). Just find the song on YouTube or something and post it.

Off topic but Angello was here at the Whiskey some time int he winter, right?

Guetta is the Tiesto of house. He's the most recognized House artist (even Bob Sinclar looks like him hahah). He also uses big names to his advantage. He get's on remixes with other big names so a lot of hype is generated then when the song releases, the people who are so quick to jump down his throat find the slightest thing they dislike and blow it out of the water.

^ see icky2unk's post

Steve angello was here in feb at snatch that i didnt get to goto, but i saw him in 07, really nice guy, signed my ticket too lol

What i didnt say was there's always going to be posers and wagonjumpers who hate because they've never tried to find/hear anything else lol it's like racism.. or extreme communism, if you never get to know anyone elses culture/outside world you'd be secluded and think theres nothing else like North Korea or the ignorant hicks in the south USA :dunno:

what people also forget is what you hear at Tiesto, Armin and Guetta shows are also songs by other DJs: big name and barely known, that's what makes a great set at a venue, then the DJ playing will no doubt throw in his own songs here and there to get the crowd going, it is afterall his show, i think some ppl goto a show and think everything that DJ just played was created by him, he's the best zomg :banghead:

anyways i came to post some stuff finally,it's basically me looking randomly through my ext HD, alot of a little bit of everything, might not be all to your tastes but it's still house right?:

^ anything by luca agnelli maybe booka shade and m.a.n.d.y, it sounds like deep house.

that vid icky2unk posted: tiesto's first electro track/remix (still has a pinch of trance tho), not fken bad at all! (lol @ all the trance jockey comments refusing to believe it's house on the other copies of the song)

Haven't been here in a while, here's a dump, maybe heavy on the electro a bit:

I know LongCity posted one of the medina remixes in the trance thread, here's the rest of them:

original's not bad (hard time determining what kind of music this is, some sort of minimal pop/house i think? maybe not even house at all..)
zzXFppZCDSg

so yes tiesto does spin house too ;) these guys are another exception tho, they play house and trance thought this had hints of both moreso prog house. there is a danish lyric version that was the original, i like english better lol
eQRYYUsjeR4

thought it was progres. then pretty much goes electro
83DZ18LO874

Stuff your parents listened to.. remixed lol not bad for and oldies remix imo

Minimal electro/vocal, catchy

couldn't find a link but Napt vs. Kish Mauve - Lose Control (Vocal Mix) if you can find it.

'happy' electro? lol different..

MsTwx1Fqvmo

Not bad
HnjXNSHSmSQ

Original
QSaKGpI99Hs

and the vandalism remix.
SKC_ZbCQlYA

and another remix from what cooked rice posted, like i said before in another thread, the remixes of this chicks songs almost all turn out pretty damn good, helps that her genre is basically electropop or whatever that euro stuff is.

Thanks n1zm0, usually I'm pretty good at finding stuff. No dice with this one although I haven't checked for a week or two. Could be more torrents floating around now.

big easter (mostly vocal) dump/bump! stuff i've found in the past few months, florence welch from florence and the machine/emily haines from metric/ladyhawke/little boots/la roux - these indie pop/rock chicks have great voices, the originals are great but some just sound so much better remixed imo:

ali wilson is trance, but too lazy to put it in the vocal trance section

liking breakages remix's, the originals are a little too dubstep/drum and bass for me tho

These next 2 are bomb, classical/electro clash!

Drive at night and listen to this from beginning to end full blast with the subwoofer gain knob to over 9000! :D blew the inline fuse last night at a stoplight playing this (my winter beater's system is by no means professional grade lol)
