I tried using my PS3's official hdmi cable from sony but doesn't seem to fit, I thought you needed the official xbox360 hdmi cable?

MS and Sony Offical HDMI cables......:banghead: :banghead:
Monoprice.com has cheap HDMI cables and they work fine with both the PS3 and Xbox360...

Are you sure you're not trying to plug them in upside down? :rolleyes:
HDMI is universal.
If you still want them i'll sell my 360 Elite cables.

i bought the ps3 hdmi cable a year or so ago and it magically stopped working. just get a generic one. im using one now and it works awesome.

It's possible to use any regular HDMI cable.
However, if you want to also use optical audio you need the official cable from MS. Otherwise a normal cable will not fit in.
Unless you take off the original component cable housing.

By doing the above, you can still keep you component cable (with optical out) connected AND run any old HDMI cable.
I did this, it was easy as hell too. Now I can run optical audio to my receiver and hdmi video (1080p) to my tv. It rocks.
