I'm looking for some opinions for a car to buy. Now please, I don't want people popping up with like $70,000 cars. I'm looking for like a 1990's car that has style and speed, nothing too much. If anyone has any suggestions, prices or ideas please reply to this post or PM me, Thanks everyone.

87-92 Mustang 5.0 Coupe

Rigid body
good handling
Largest aftermarket for performance parts
high 14 sec car stock.
Cheap parts/maintenance
Decent gas mileage 350km/tank

Trust me, I own one ;)
I also own a 1990 Talon AWD TSI and my Stang would destroy it stock for stock in every department except breaking.

Compared to anything under $10,000.00

Ask anyone who owns a Coupe, they are way more rigid then a hatch and when they come with the GT package they handle very well.

That's a nice car 89...but I don't live in Calgary. I live in Newfoundland, I wouldn't even be able to drive there. It would cost more for the plane ride

Ooops, didn't notice that. I assumed you were from Calgary. :dunno:

Actually come to think of it. It only costs about $600.00 to have a car shipped by train in your area. You could have someone here look at the car for you, take photos and what not and have it back to in no time.

Yeah that's alright I would say 80% if not more of this forum is from Calgary :( Oh well yeah that's a good idea. I'm looking around.

Actually before I did all the mods to my stang I used to drive it in the winter with a good set of winter tires and I had no problems whatsoever.

my opinion maybe biased then...b/c i see mustangs slipping along the streets and squeeling the tires a lot of the time in the winter...plus i have gotten in an accident in a mustang in the winter, i do not feel safe in that car at all.

90% of the cars you see on the roads during winter do not have winter tires!!! haha That is why they are slipping all over the place

I'm guessing my AWD Talon with 4 new winter tires should be a little better though ;)
