I'm looking into getting one.
Just a question to those that already have one.
What kind do you have and has it saved you yet?
There's quite a few so I'm not sure which one to go with.

Thanks in advance.

I've heard that laser jammers don't work.

Escort ... a laser jammer ?

We carry the Blinder laser jammers and they work great!

We even had a few off duty freinds come by with their gun and try it out back of the shop with 2 vehicles, both blocked the laser signal from the gun in time to slow down. A few of our events get some attention from them as well and not one of our blinder customers got pulled over but a few guys who didn't have them got their tickets.

If you have any other questions feel free to let me know!

How much are they?
Do they just block lasers or do they do radar as well?

Lidar jammers do work, when installed correctly.

The traffic guys typically aim for a headlight of a vehicle (very reflective) so if the jammer transmitter is mounted in a spot other than this area, it wont work.

There have been many tests done, youtube will have some side-by-side results. After watching different clip from different shows, you should get an idea.

There are no such things as working radar jammers. Jamming radar signals is highly illegal. The best defense against radar is a radar detector, as it will pick up the radar signal further down the road than the officer will be firing, giving you ample time to slow down in most cases.

We carry a few different options for radar detectors to help find the best one for you, including the new GX65 which will have all Calgary "traffic safety cameras" in the latest database update from them.

There are no laws against the use of laser jammers in Canada.

For pricing please post or PM your email and vehicle and I will get you pricing for the appropriate unit for your vehicle and installation of the unit.

The unit consists of 2 (or 4) jamming units, a switch, a speaker, and a control unit. Once installed the wiring and speaker are tucked under the dash to remain out of sight at all times and out of harm’s way. The on off switch can be mounted in any location you would like, under the dash, or we can find a good spot for you. The jamming units are mounted in your grill and on most vehicles remain very well concealed unless you are looking for it.

I would like to know as well, let's say a cop tries to radar you but gets jammed and by the time he can radar you again you've slowed down. Can he still pull you over saying he noticed you were driving fast(let's say 80 in a 50 zone) without proof?

The officers using the gun are expecting a certain amount of failure rates but they are able to do multiple hits quicker with laser. When the alarm first goes off saying youve been hit, slow down, shut your unit off and continue on. He will hit you again, your radar/laser DETECTOR will go crazy, he will see you are doing speed limit and let you continue on.

If you were doing say 100 in 50 and left your jammer on, yes he may pull you over depending on the circumstance. Since there is no legislation on laser jammers, no ticket for having one. If he couldn't get a reading, he can't legallly write you a ticket for speeding. But if you are driving like a retard and excessivly speeding, then he may choose to give you a ticket for wreckless driving or something along those lines.

Pricing for the units themselves (not installed, please PM or email for installation pricing);

Blinder M25 (2 Sensor unit) - $440
Blinder M45 (4 Sensor unit, for bigger vehicles/SUVs) - $675

If there is enough Beyond.ca interested (5 or more people) we can do 10% discount.

I did a test of the blinder unit I picked up from Tunerworks back in the day going up 16th Avenue from Deerfoot heading west. First run I had the unit off and just the V1 detector turned on. I was hit for about a second.

On the second run, I decided to leave the jammer on all the way to see what he would do. He hit the car the entire way up the hill and didn't even bother to try to hit the other cars beside me lol, it was a good 15 seconds. As I drove by, I don't remember the officer even giving a shit, he just moved onto the next car.

I'm not sure whether things have changed since more vehicles have jammers on them nowadays.

We haven't done any bikes yet but we have 2 bikes in line right now to get them installed, just waiting for the roads to clear up so they can get to the shop.

If interested for your bike, PM or email me your contact information and once I confirm the install will work on bikes I can get in contact with you.

Hmm, I might have to come in an see you about picking up the M45 for my dually diesel... I don't excessively speed but I, along with 90% of the rest of drivers, usually go 10-15 over and got nailed on 16th headed westbound up the hill and he gave me a 57$ ticket :( and I can't have that on commercial insurance so... I'm down for a group buy :)

We find that is what alot of people are worried about, the 10-15 over tickets that add up after the first one or two, combined with a possible no seat belt ticket.

Whenever you are ready let me know! I will keep you in mind if we get enough interest from everyone.

I'd be interested in one dual head unit for my bike, and possibly another for my car if the price is right.

i had one of these on a car a few years ago and I never got a laser ticket from it. most times id get the beep slow down then turn it off just so the cop could get a reading on me if he wanted but by then id already be at the speed limit.
