yeah man, actually those prices are a lot higher than car prices actually are. The market has dropped again since Dec 28/08 when the article was written.. you can get 2002 Porsche 911's for 20-25k.. even C4S's for under 30k..C6 Vette's for under 30k.. 04 Land Rover HRSE for $24k
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=214539154&dealer_id=578594&car_year=2004&doors=&systime=&listingCounter=0&model=&adModel=&search_lang=en&style_flag=1&start_year=2002&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&search_type=used&distance=0&min_price=18000&rdm=1237433448294&drive=&marketZipError=false&advanced=y&fuel=&listingPriority=30&keywords_display=&end_year=2010&showZipError=n&make2=&certified=&engine=&adBodyStyle=&page_location=findacar::ispsearchform&body_code=0&transmission=&default_sort=priceASC&max_mileage=&address=48201&color=&sort_type=priceASC&adMake=ROV&max_price=30000&awsp=false&make=ROV&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=1993%3E

etc etc etc
RS4's for around 40k
Lexus IS-F's for high 40's
G37's for low 30's
06 Aston Martin Vantage V8's for mid 60 thousand with under 15k miles
prices are unreal cheap

Looks brand new, or just looks more or less like any other Porsche ever made?

Pretty much what I meant. The lack of real changes in newer models makes the older ones worth it for the cheap price.

Those prices are sweet and all but a 911 at those miles? I would go broke on the maintenance and having to replace parts.

well it depends on how it was maintained. But the big things you'd probably be replacing along that mark would be suspension items and like the BMW service #2, it wouldn't be cheap.

This is kind of old news. Luxury cars are cheap in the states, no one wants to afford them. It's not that they can't, they just don't want to. Other priorities.

The Porsche they are showing in the picture is a 2003. It has the facelifted lights. The 01 looks like a Boxster, and like shit IMO compared to the 03.

Heres an 01 :

:werd: Anybody can buy these cars but what gets you is the maintenance. My neighbor bought an 02 range rover for about 26k and within 2 weeks the air suspension broke and leaked all over the drive way.

No car is really underpriced ;)

They'd be out of business

Those prices are on the high side, I remember looking at E55 AMG's on Ebay in October and you could find 04's for about $32k, now they're even cheaper.

But you have to figure you make a cash offer on a luxury car in a new neighbourhood in one of the cities hit hard by the downturn, and at least 2 times out of 10 you'll get a smoking deal from somebody in a financial jam.

wait, the air leaked all over the driveway?

Anyways, I'd love a 2001 S8. I really like the understated styling.

It's deals like these that are unreal.

"This is an immaculate STi, Never raced or abused, 38 yr old owner( 2 owner car), cobb stage II( turbo back exhaust & access port tuner added last summer -- $2000.00), Gold BBS wheels whith Bridgestone RE070 tires for summer and Silver ASA wheels with Dunlop Graspic II tires for winter, adjustable center diff, HID headlights, autometer a-pillar boost gauge added with red backlight to match dash, dealer maintained, Non-smoker, Still under factory warranty, Always garaged, Anyone that's ever driven an STi knows they are awesome. I'm selling this car due to loosing my job and cannot pay the payments. I'm not selling because I want to. Consumer Reports rates the STi very, very well and the performance rivals cars 4 times the price. There is nothing wrong with this car, being sold for financial reasons. If you've been searching for a low miles STi that hasn't been hacked up and abused, don't miss this one."

This is the type of deal that would be AMAZING if the dollar was better. Poor guy lost his baby.

Hmm it makes me wonder about people sometime. I checked out the link and that seems to be a really clean car! What doesn't make sense is why somebody would make performance modifications on a car if they are never going to track/race it or ever have any fun with it. It doesn't make much sense..

That is a sick price though i remember when these started falling under 30 and i was shocked! Now you could negotiate a little bit and pick one up like this for 20k!
