It is a GM 3800 pushrod type engine. This means that it uses a traditional timing chain and gear set to turn the cam.

The timing chain and gears (which should be replaced together) are not a typical problem for these cars especially those with only 128,000kms. In fact it should have no problem running another 128,000kms with no major repairs needed.

I have seen these motors go way past 300,000kms trouble free, they last forever when maintained.

When you say motors, are you including the supercharger? I'm interested I just thought that these cars had common problems with the superchargers if not maintained superbly.

watch the supercharger's mostly in the series 1 engine built from 92-95ish,the series2 supercharger was a update version and is more reliable, keep in mind that a supercharger does wear out,on these cars it is not a very hard job to replace them.My cousin is a tech for a rual GM dealer, has seen lots with over 300 thou on the original chargers, again good maintenence is key.

Glad you brought this up because I completely forgot about it. The supercharger oil was changed at 106,***kms, with GM supercharger oil.

That is when I bought the car for my girlfriend and all fluids were flushed and filled then. This includes the transmission fluid and coolant.

95civicgsr you have been PM'd

For those that want to know what trades I am interested in.

Nissan 180sx or Pulsar GTIR top the list but I will consider all other JDM cars as trade.

I am willing to trade for motorcycles/enduro anything that can be put on the road.

I would also consider a trade for the right Jeep Grand Cherokee limited, or Jeep TJ.
