View Full Version : Damn weather
Rode my bike on Friday, and now it's buried under two feet of snow. I can't even move it to store it if I wanted to. Wonderful. :(

Drove with the top down almost all last week. And now I'm shitting my pants everytime I hit an ice patch on a corner.
I sold the neon too soon :(

I worked the days before the snow, I was so excited to take the bike out for days off. Oh well.

But not really.
I went for a short rip on Saturday. Got cold. I really need a heated vest. It'd make things a lot more comfortable.

^ I just wear extra layers on days like this past Saturday. What I could really use is heated grips - my fingers couldn't take it.
Glad I took Friday off to go riding now that the snow is back. Other than taking a wrong turn onto a road made of ice and gravel, it was a blast.

What is your bike doing outside in March?
I wish the weather was nicer every time I go over to my friend's and see my poor CBR on stands :(
Come on May :D
I have heated grips. I got them at canadian tire for 25 bucks.

The streets will dry up far before the trails- on the other hand i guess you cant ride studs on the street.
Regardless the weather sucks- same shit every spring.

It was easy to install. Just buy new grips if you need em.
Here is the step by step i followd. Don't use the resistor as it gets crazy hot. These grips get super hot too. So you'll only need em on for a while.

thanks buddy, just picked up a set today and am gonna try to install them in the next few days using that website
Make sure you insulate the left side or you wont get enough heat. I just left it without insulating it and the left side takes a while to warm up. Might be just right though.
I repeat do not install the resistor it gets red hot. The hair dryer is your friend to get old grips off. Install gel grips if you can.

what do you suggest insulating it with? because im sure electrical tape will melt over time
if you can find Kapton Tape somewhere i'd use that.
