There drinks are pretty good, but i find there wraps are terrible. there is nothing to them. For 7-8 bucks, they better be glorious, which they fail at.

If you work downtown there's Sunterra or Marcello's.

Downtown on 17th ave and 12th st, theres a little place called Wrapture. Really good, healthy wraps. Used to be owned by a yoga dude.

That's kind of my pet peeve. There used to be tons of mom and pop places that offered nice fresh salads and great home made sandwiches. “Used to be”. Welcome to the new Calgary. If you’re not a shitty franchise, you’re not welcome here.

To actually answer your question, i used to go to Plate it Up in Crowfoot. It just recently shut down like every other mom and pop place. So i'm really out of ideas.

It's not super healthy, but my go-to lunch is often a Wends spicy chicken go-wrap with chilli and a coke. Under five bucks, pretty tasty, and has lots of protein.
Also Sunterra fairly often. Get the big pan special poured over spinach.

I saw on the bookshelves of various grocery store and chapters, there's this Men's Health guide to healthy eating.
There's a section that's called "eat this not that"
you'll be suprised what kind of food you thought was healthy actually aren't.

the Market fresh sandwich from Arby is actually much worst in terms of calorie and fat content than their good old roast beef burgers.

So check that book out if you need some idea of what's healthy and not.

Vietnamese sub from Thai Tai.

Or there's a Chinese place behind the old CMS on 32 Avenue North that has lunch specials for $6.50. I go there at least once a week. It's called Fat Kee and seems pretty healthy to me.

Definitely hit up Wrapture, SO good! The spicy chicken-esque (haven't been since last summer, dunno if that's what it is) wrap is my favorite.

Supermarket delis have some good options. Also the lunch buffet at Community Natural Foods on 10th Ave is great.

As long as you go REALLY easy on the sauce then yes. I tend to get no sauce + brocolli, green beans and the tofu instead of rice.

Oddly enough they're the only fast food joint I can't find a nutrition table for them online.

In the south, a newer place called Tuscan Soup Garden have tasty wraps/subs etc and few different varieties of great soups. It's located by the Crossroads flea market, tucked in the corner, always very busy but very quick at lunch.
