An EK is a better car. Both are similar in weight, with the EK being slightly heavier, but has a stronger chassis ans is more ridged. The wheel base is slightly longer giving it better handling stock for stock.
Some things to think about.

EK's are a dime a dozen...how many really nice EG's are actually out there...

k's mean nothing if it was maintained. and it means nothing if you are going to project car it.
