nope, it is not 2 or 3 years old.

if you see in the description, it comes with VISTA recovery, Computer initially comes running Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium.

I installed XP myself, as i prefer it over Vista.

You can re-install Vista if you don't like XP, disc included

The laptop unit is was released to market about 12 months ago.

I bought it 9mths ago, but rarely used as i was given a company issued laptop, and also got mini netbook.
