using unlocked phones here from overeas

This is blackberry specific. Found a pretty good deal on a BB curve 8900. if I buy it from the UK will all the features on the phone work?
If I do get it ill just be adding on the 15 buck data plan. Will the data plan work on the phone? Are there gonna be IP settings ill have to change? What are the disadvantages of me buying it overseas compared to buying it here?

My other phone is from the UK and I can't send mms with it.

should work fine! I just moved back home from Denmark and had 2 unlocked BB's. Still work fine here with all the features. :) Hope that helps.

should be fine and with the mms issue on your current phone, all you would need to do is tweek the network settings.
