I don't know if any of you have heard but there is going to be a "tuner" based car show in Vernon on June 28th (Funtastic weekend).

Hey, sweet. It's still about a 4 hour drive for me but I'll see what I can arrange.

Edit: hm, looks good. I'm in if there's a good Beyond contingent going. I'm coming up from Trail. Do you know what the times are for the show? I need to know when it's done so I can make sure I can get back at a reasonable hour.

GATES OPEN AT 9.00 TILL 11:00 = VEHICLE ADMISSION

PLEASE BE HERE BETWEEN 9-11

START TIME 11:30
UNTIL 2:30 AM

Not too sure whether the judging is done earlier or not. I'll have to bugger off by 6-7 pm as I have to be up at 6 the next morning for work.

If anyone's passing through Golden that day on the way there, our crew would be more than happy to have any of you cruise with us. It's gonna be an early morning though..as with any car show/cruise;)

I wonder if they'll let us head in as a club? If they will, we should get one of the Calgary guys to pick up the Beyond banner from EK.

That long weekend a few years back was killer. There was a girls baseball tourny in town and some sort of outdoor concert.

Man, I'm having a hell of a time finding a hotel. Anyone know if they have a hotel reserved for show bookings?

I found a room for Sunday night, which I can live with, but I'd prefer Saturday and Sunday. I'm heading to Edmonton first thing Monday.

Any Calgary Beyonders coming to this? EK 2.0 has a banner to pick up if any of you are coming. Corpus Monde will let us rep as a team if enough of us are there.

There are rooms in Salmon Arm and Kelowna, both about an hour away... I'm going to drive up from Trail on Sunday morning.

I have a room booked for SUNDAY night, currently a single but I can change it if people need a place to stay. The big after party is that night.

i think i am coming. i was planning on leaving from vernon back to calgary on the 26th but i dont mind waiting for a few extra days. depending on whether they have a bike category though because i would like to show rather then just watching

Link is on the page (submit your ride)! Also ask them to put you on the guest list for the afterparty. They seem willing to take just about anybody so I don't think they'd mind having a bike. Whether they have prizes or not I don't know. I do see a couple bikes on the list (CBR600RR, ZX1).

They just want to make sure they have room for all the parking. Registration supposedly ends at the end of the week so I'd get on it for those planning to go but haven't e-mailed him yet.

Is the drive to Vernon form Vancouver really 6 hrs or is there a shorter way?

Cool, I'll be driving TO Vancouver on the 27, hopefully I can drive another 10 hrs there/back the day after lol

From Calgary it's about the same driving time. 3hrs to Revelstoke and then 2 more hours. I find traffic can really bog you down around Salmon Arm.

I'm cruising in with Team Redline that morning so I don't know how much time we have to meet. We'll be stopping in Armstrong at the carwash to clean up our cars before driving into Vernon and probably going straight to the show since it's on the main highway once we get into town.
Any ideas?? Are you driving through Golden?

The show went well, despite the E-Mack deciding he was too important to show up :) Team Redline out of Golden really cleaned up on the prizes, although I think we should claim 2NR_babi as an offical Beyonder, since she took home the majority, including Best Exterior and Best Female Owned Car. Another Redliner took home Best Interior.

Yours truly wound up with "Most Dedicated Car Owner." :D

I apologize for the lack of half naked girls posing with cars, but the truth is, none of them would pose! I must have asked twenty girls to pose with a car and none of them would. It was odd since they had a model search going on at the same time.
