Was thinking about buying this one from the P90X site.

http://www.beachbody.com/images/en_US/products/gear/chinupbar/chinupbar_lg_alt01.jpg

$60+$15shipping etc.

Or is there another one I can buy locally you can recommend?

I got it at the Fitness Source in Deerfoot Mall for about $40. Not sure how many are left, but it works well.

don't you have an unfinished basement? There are better and cheaper options than this bar

Yeah I have an unfinished basement but the drywall is up. What are my options?

drywall is up on the ceiling too? exposed joists would be your easiest solution.

I got one at the fitness store right off blackfoot across the street from blackfoot motorsports....$50 and it works great...attaches in one second to any standard door frame.

Iron Gym, got mine at the home and garden show.
and it doesnt damage your door, you dont have to screw anything into the walls. highly recommend.

Neat idea, lady luck, the grip's not wide enough on that though....

The one Boost posted looks to be the best of these "hangers"...it's got true wide grip with proper downward angle ends...

How sturdy are these things? Any chance they fall down once in a while or are they guaranteed to stay in the door frame?

Mines pretty sturdy, havent had any issues with it at all.
I read it holds something like 300 pounds too.
Make sure that you are using it properly tho, my first chin-up resulted in me smashing the top of my head on the upper part of the door frame because I was on the wrong side lol.

I ordered mine at the Home and Garden show on the last day as they ran out. They told me I will have it the following friday and that they were going to pay for the shipping costs as they should have had enough units for the show, and I did get it within 5 days.
