Anyone know where i can find a lowrider? Not too many in Alberta but im hoping that there is a forum dedicated to lowrider cars locally or a website where i can find one. I think there is a few guy on here that drive lowriders but can't remember user names?

point in the right direction from anyone? Looking for a Monte Carlo but open to anything. Thanks

Find a really clean monte, add juice and wires. Not really "lowriders" but these guys are local and some of them may be able to help you out http://dragnflycustoms.com/

lol you make it sound so simple... depending on the frame wheel wells/firewall it can become alot of work. On my B2200 i needed like a 6'' notch just to tuck 18's for god's sake.

Here is my old B2200 with a 3" bd and the engine under a 4x4 hood. I did not say it was simple I just think its better to start from a fresh car.

guys building lowriders normally run 13" wires I dont think it will need firewall work like my s10 did.

My buddy has one that he might sell.. it's a 4 door blazer... old school like... 88 or something... he's done a TON of work to it.. but it's not showroom condition or anything.

pm me and if you're interested, I'll contact him.

alright, im into the lowriders and have a whack of buddies with lows. right now my one buddy is selling his juiced 91 caddy. its definitely a project but its already reinforced so all it needs to be complete is paint and interior and engine if you like that sort of thing for a lowrider.

we're cruisin tomorrow from the krispy kreme parking lot at sunridge if you wanna come up and look at it, but my other buddy is interested so you may have to fight him for it haha

edit: he wants 2k for it without wheels i think.

There is a '64 impala on autotrader.ca right now.. if you're going to do a lowrider.. it doesnt get any better than a 64 impala. Except this one is a hardtop, not a 'vert

maybe its cause i dont really know how much lowriders go for, for this seems hella cheappppp. There has to be like 15k invested in parts/paint alone,

^^ I'm liking that Caddy i didn't notice it was a 2 door at first. What does it need? I saw this on kijiji actually but it says that its an 83 in the picture?

i dont think it "needs" anything, but its definitely driveable, totally ready to go. i dont know the exact year for sure though. to make it to lowrider status it will need a paintjob and stuff.

that last car was gorgeous, i liked the 20" wire spoke, looks way beter than the smaller sized wire spoke wheels

thats a killer low. the big spoke wheels look good on the bigger cars like that, they dont always look good on the smaller ones. on another note, my other buddy just bought that caddy for 1700!! it does need some body work (even more now that they scraped the garage...)

your about 15yrs too late man

03ozwhip
05-07-2009, 09:49 AM
^^says who? you? who cares what you think? calgary has barely even had a lowrider scene and its still huge in the states, so how is that 15 years too late?

anyways, ya my buddy got a wicked deal, the good thing is that hes right next door to me so we can share tools and help each other in the garages. the bad thing is that we'll be sharing tools and helping each other in the garages and we might get sick of each other haha/....
