If someone scratched my car, keyed a long line...Can i charge that person?

Lets say i have no witness but i know he did it, can i still charge him?

No. Unless you have evidence the police aren't going to do anything. How do you "know" they did it...it's your word vs. the person you "think" did it.

unless you ahve physical evidence, then you do not "know" they did it, and even if you do attempt to charge them, you will lose.

I know 100% he did it. Now can my friend say he witnessed it?

I am absolutely 100% sure he keyed my car.

Fuck :banghead:

Then you're shit out of luck.

it doesn't matter if you "know 100%", your opinion does not matter, you have to be able to convince the cops and or judge that he did it, and without evidence, it's a he said she said, and you lose.

and if you get your friend to lie and say he witnessed it, he will be in a LOT more trouble than the vandal if you get caught.

Well if the cops can't help then do something back to said person. Or you could go talk to said person and find out what the issue is. Most of the time vandalism like this is not done completely random and for no reason.

My car got keyed, I "know" it was you and my two buddies will vouch for me. What you gonna do now?

If your 100% sure he did it confront him. Get a quote to see how much it will cost to fix and make him pay for it one way or another.

I say, instead of retaliated with a keying his car or going to police, instead just pour some good old paint in his tank and he will know next time to not do anything. =)

^ And then get your own tires slashed. Its a never ending cycle if you do something like that. Get a quote and confront the guy don't start vandalizing his car

Fill his tank up with a jug of milk, happened to my cousins wake boat, really screwed with his boat for awhile. Then just go get a paint job GTA style so he cant find your car.

Don't get him back now because it's just too obvious. Let some time pass by and get him back when he least expects it. Hit him back 10X harder! When all else fails, call in Ahmed to take care of things. ;)

What the police do is make up a tall tale (eg. we have you on camera, witness came forward, fingerprints etc.).

The stupid people will then sometimes offer a "spontaneous" confession after being told this -something along the lines of "he was parked like an asshole, he deserved it".

If you go confront this dbag, bring a recording device.

If you're 100% sure he did it then you must have proof, so just bring this to the police and they'll charge him. case closed, next please.
