Teen guilty in branding of friend

CHATHAM -- A 19-year-old woman who held her friend down while the image of a penis was branded on her neck will spend a year on probation.
Krystalee Yvonne Mills of London, pleaded guilty yesterday to assault in connection with the March 5, 2008 incident.
Assistant Crown Attorney Fred Creed said Mills, three other accused, the victim and other friends were partying at a Dresden home during a snow day.
Shortly after midnight, a male teen decided he wanted to brand someone.
The victim was really drunk and "agreed to have a smiley face branded on her back," Creed said.
He said Mills didn't do the branding but took part by holding the victim down while the male used a heated bobby pin to burn her skin.
Police were contacted the next day.
