Hey guys,

my dad's beloved ride got jacked in front of McDonald's while he was having a coffee.
Low life thieves

Anyways, can you all keep an eye out for a:

Car: 1994 Buick Century Special
Type: Sedan
Colour: Maroon
Plate: WBD 251
VIN: 1G4AG53M0R6471535

My dad is the last person on the planet who deserves to have his car stolen!

Looks like this: http://yarishautosales.com/images/Century.jpg

But with awesome hubcaps: http://www.innerauto.com/includes/images/Inner_Auto/Volvo_Parts/volvo_wheel_cover.jpg

Thanks

I work right at the international airport. Will keep an eye out.

I travel down 64th daily. If they live in the area.

Can you find better pictures? Like an ass shot? Any things that make the car different?

Unfortunately I don't have a real pic of my dad's car handy...
this is what I could find for a rear shot on google.

But remember it is maroon in color!

And I wish their was something unique about it..

umm...
Color matching towels on the rear seats?
Aftermarket cup holder/storage bin between driver and passenger?

The second pic isn't too great, unfortunately we only have these convoy pics of it. But yea, white pinstripe on the sides, and a HUGE scratch from being keyed which is covered with a touch up paint that doesn't exactly match. The mark is on the left side, starting from the rear fender going halfway up the rear door.

Are stolen vehicles really this common over there? I don't know anyone who has ever been the victim of a stolen vehicle nor have I ever been the victim of a stolen vehicle in my life!

With a car like this, odds are good it will be found soon by the CPS - after it has been used in a robbery

(ie its unlikely that it will be sold for parts or something)

Before this incident, I don't know of anyone myself who has had this happen to them. But I do hear about it alot in the news.

It was locked, with no keys inside. I guess it was hotwired...

Thanks to all for your help! Car has been found just after Nesbitt403's first post! My Dad and brother were on there way to get a rental car, and then I read the post regarding the potential sighting. I called my brother's phone immediately and told him, and then he cut me off saying 'We're parked right by it'.

Turned out to be super close to the place it was stolen, right by superstore on 4th street and mcdonalds there. No one was inside, called the cops, cop came, inspected car and then had it towed back to our house. Turns out they switched the plates to a plate which was off of another stolen car, and they smashed the steering column open to start the car by twisting the ignition cylinder somehow. Anyways we now just need a new steering column plastic casing thing, and a new license plate.

We figure the thief either saw the car with a cop inspecting it and ran, or it was used for a crime over night and ditched. But why would they ditch the car somewhere so close to the original crime scene? Courtesy? lol

Ultimately we have the car back and that's all that matters. Thanks again for your help guys. Not bad, less than 24 hours. Everyone in this area (everyone else too) needs to keep a close eye on their car!

Pics to come soon.

glad you guys found it.

I'm sure there are a ton of buick centry's at the pick'n pull. if you can do it yourself it'll be super cheap to fix
