Found out the other day that we had a P&S in the house and didn't even know about it! Took it for a geology field trip yesterday, threw it on AUTO b/c of lack of time to setup stuff (or at least that's my excuse ;)). Quick and dirty, straight out the camera. Composition could use some critiquing I'm sure though!

Went out today to test out my new D200. Just got it yesterday.
Composition is quite lacking in all, and subjects are quite bland.
It's quite the change in controls and handling from my 40D.

That was the 135, had a bit of tilt but not too much, maybe 5 or 10 degrees. The shots from the 180 haven't been developed yet.

The lens flare is a bit distracting and it looks a BIT flat. I would personally love to see the black pop a bit more.

Ya, I was trying to keep everything flat, except for the grafitti to make it pop, and well... it didn't work. How about now?

Definately better without the lens flare. Tried sooooo hard to shoot that pic with no lens flare, next to impossible. The sun was shining nearly straight into the camera, and even with the biggest lens hood, no luck.

It's difficult to tell, but after looking at both side by side. I like the cooler tone on the car in the first one, but I like the warmer tone everywhere else but the car in the second one. I know what you mean about the flare, it's tough to deal with.
Nonetheless, it's a great shot!

LOOL....man, I get a new DSLR only to cast it away almost in favour of my little canonet.
Spent the day shooting with that...only pulled out the D200 to snap a shot of the favourite child right now.

pretty much straight out of cam besides some USM in photoshop.

Will be posting some shots from it, once i get this roll developed and I get my grubby hands on a film scanner in a few days.

I like this one more than the other one because I feel that there is still a sense of motion with the biker and the background that seem to complement each other well. The second one seems more still and slightly less appealing (to me anyways).

Hello guys, all your pictures are absolutley stunning,, iam currently looking for someone interested in shooting my car for me, with a quality camera and pure talent that all you guys seem to posses... the car is still being put together,so there is no rush ,, this is as it sits right now.... maybe a gutted car with no engine and a brandnew paint job might make for a good photo shoot also..:dunno: lol,, let me know guys if anyone is interested in shooting the car as is or when its done, thanks guys
