Well these posts are poping up all the time so I thought I would join in.

I bought a black 1992 RHD RX7 for JDM Source back in April of 2007 as a replacement for my 1994 RX7 track rat.

94 FD Before:

After:

80KPH into a wall teaches you a couple of things. Keep the motor for later you might need it ;) and maybe track a car that is expendable.

So bring on the 1992 RHD. Screw the stigma this is a track car. JDM Source provided this great example.

CWEST Body Kit,
Amemiya Diffuser
Work Wheels,
Tein Coilovers
Apex'i exhaust.

In the spring of 2007 added:
Nitto NT01 R Compounds
Mines ECU
Racing Brake ET500 Pads
Midpipe

Lost the headlight covers a 200kph+ on the front straight so on went the evo-r headlights which actually reduced the weight a few pounds.

Next came the PFC Intercooler, Duct and and a lil more boost

All good things must come to an end. A little to much heat into the pads and off the track she went.

Lost the Rad, the bumper and both fenders, luckily this was in September, winter build time:D

Not a bad first season for the car, about 1200 las at Race City, best time of the year was: 1:23.9

So winter 2007/2008 Brought on some changes.

New aluminum Rad,
Denso Fuel Pump
New injectors and race plugs
ET700 Brake pads, fluid and SS Lines
Striped interior
Corner Weight and new alighment
Feed Bumper and sideskirts.

No real HP bump but 150lb weight loss and wider tires!

2008 ended early going off at the end of the front straight at 180kph.

Again took out the front bumper and destroyed the brakes.

Good news is the car broke the 1:22 mark with a 121.3 personal best.

Unfortunately the season was only half over so bought an R32 GTR to finish the season

For 2009

Car has new Feed bumper, feed fenders, Front and rear BBK, cage, harnesses and seats. Looking to brake 1:21 on 300whp.

nice car and great times.. just a question tho, Both these pics from "differant" crashes are in fact of the same one. if you look close at the front bumper they broke identical and are the same bumper, When you said you bought a diff bumper for the next season... So possibly a wrong picture link for the second crash?

Don't jinx me!!! I am not gonna drive the M at 100%

100%=off track at some point.

I think a safe 90% will keep that car nice and safe! What do you think 1:25s maybe?

CSCC solosprint this year? There are still spots avaiable. The more RX7's the better.

I have been thinking about solosprint, but I don't think I can make too many of the events. I am getting married in July, and I already have 12 track days on the schedule.

New brakes are on.

13x1.3 front 2 piece rotors, aluminum calipers and with 12.7x.8 2 piece rears for that perfect brake bias.

Thanks to DJ_HONDA of the install.
