My fiance has lost her passport and we are supposed to be flying to Phoenix tomorrow morning. I know you can get an emergency passport done at harry hayes but they are closed on weekends, and Monday seeing as how it is a holiday.

Are there any other options other than postponing the flight until Tuesday and getting a new passport through the harry hayes passport office?

Thanks:banghead:

Any chance your fiance has a NEXUS card?

Better get those passport photos ready.

And be ready to pay $160 on Tuesday first thing. It looks like it takes up to 24 hours so you might be better off postponing it to Wednesday afternoon/evening instead.

How did she manage to lose her passport or not notice it was missing at this point of the trip planning process? I imagine the travel arrangements weren't at the last second.

Sorry man, no options for you other than cancelling.

P.S: The nexus card doesnt replace the passport, just allows the traveller preferential and quick service thru customs.

if you lost the passport you do not have to report it to police. Only if it's stolen. Now this info won't help you with your trip plans but when you do want to replace that lost passport you have to fill out this:

Statutory Declaration
concerning a lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or inaccessible Canadian passport
PPTC 203

which, may be found here:

http://www.ppt.gc.ca/cdn/form.aspx

Fifth bolded down.

And you have to fill a new passport application out.
