I'm looking into getting a car, I have been for a while, but I can't really decide.

Which of these would you guys/gals think would be the best for me to do a swap, turbo, and all the extra goodies?

if you are looking for something do a swap/ turbo and making it fast, hatch is the way to go. it's light and small and honda's have TONS of extra aftermarket parts avalible.

although there are tons of hondas/acruas out there it's a good choice if u dont mind being same as everyone.

i'd say 94-01 integras are good too cuz they look better than a civic.

i have a 99 integra GS and i love it.

up to ur bro

second gen golfs can look really nice and I would get the gti 16v 2.0 because they have the recaro interior and have reasonable power. If you swap a vr6 into a mk2, that would be awsome. But even better I'd go for a mk3 golf gti vr6, a lot faster car with a lot of potential! I mean a vr6 with a turbo would be hella fast i think.

i love the euro look on the vws...i mean i'm not the biggest fan of bodykits but the ones for veedubs simply kick ass...simple yet very cool...now aside from that they would come already turboed so some of the huge initial costs of getting a turbo kit will be covered, plus a lot of the pain in the ass would be taken care of...also they have tons of potential

thanks for your input guys, heres another thing I shoulda added, my budget is 10 g's to work with, hopefully I can get more feedback now, but so far what I've read is good news to me, keep em comin guys!

EDIT: I put my vote for the 90-93 integ, I kinda like em, but I also don't because of how old they are, so the body would start showing more wear as the days and months go by, so something newer is better IMO.

Sorry, One more quick question:
Hatchback civics come with nothing power correct?
how much would it cost to get power windows, locks, mirrors, and a/c installed?

fwd, SCORE!

first choice would be the golf, second would be the hatchback. im not sure about in canada but ehre the hatches are pretty damn pricey tho.

IMO i wouldnt get all those power things since they would only weigh the car down and make it slower, id be way happier with a car without power and ac.

yo rice eater, unless your talkin about the new gen vw's, older ones didnt have turbos (except the diesel ones), and i dont think teknical had those in the list of cars he wanted.

if your going for speed, then u dont need power accesories, they will just rob you of HP.

k thanks guys!! sorry tommy I'm really lazy, so rolling my window up and down sucks :)

And as for our hot summers, I dunno if I could last without A/C, I'd prob die of heatstroke driving, lol.

But keep the votes comin guys.

Could anyone gimme some feedback on the 90-93 tegs?

those golfs really make me want to get one :D and those old school jettas are very pimp! thanks for the pics Euro Tang!
Euro, does the gold and black new golfs have just lips on the front?

Also, if any admin is reading this, could they update my poll, and change the days from 0 to 3? I'd like to get a car when the next autotrader/bargain comes out, thanks!

92-96 Prelude, preferably the SRV, but if you can't get your hands on one of those then any other will do just fine. If you need to know why I am voting for the Lude... just look at pics of Shadowz car...... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Pimp:bigpimp:
Best Lude I have ever seen....  :D

oh ya definately DJ Lo-Tec. I absolutely love shadowz lude, everytime I see it I try to get up to it, then he turns or something, and the only pic I have of it is that time one as his avatar.
Everytime I see it, major creamage!!

Also a car that makes me want to get 94-98 teg is that blue one, I don't remember who built it, but its got a turbo and its pushing something like 355 or something horse, black rims, I'm sure its on here somewhere still.

EDIT: Eric, thats a pimp golf, I didn't see that 900hp til after I posted, very pimp!! and AWD

hey u should consider RWD as well into that price range :)
240sx

but yeah.. jettas and golfs are cool, civic if you wanna be as original as everyone else, but whatever floats your boat.

i would go for an integra personaly unless you had a 2001 prelude as a choice.

Max: I would definately get a RWD car, but winter is coming, and I don't wanna have to park it for the winter, cause I tried driving a RWD last winter, a real pain in my ass.

Touchdown: If I had the money, i'd take a 2001 lude hands down, I'm in love with those bodies!

Maybe I should just buy a 500$ beater for the winter, then get a better car after, or buy a car and a beater, and park my car.

i have never driven in a vr6,but have heard lots of good things. The G60 is great because it's fairly tunable with very limit cash you can get really good gains.Chip, pulley,Fpr,Exhaust and Intake will give you like 200 hp at the crank for under a grand. The Handling is Really good too, never autocrossed but i heard the corrado does well. There Was A corrado that sounded good on here a while ago (kneescapen)i think.if not Mine Will Be for sale probally in the spring.

Go wit the G2 teg. all the looks of a JDM teg but cheaper and still the kick ass acura Name plate. I fell in love with my car after test driving it. i love the way it handels and accelerates (stock) the best car on the list IMO unless your gonna get a Type R

MK3 GTI VR6 is actually only 1/10th faster than the MK2 GTI 16V's of 90-92.

my car is faster than an mk3 GTI VR6, and I prefer the body style far more.

A Vr6 MK2 however, best of both worlds

well I got 10 to work with, all vr6's seem to be outta my range, so I gotta settle for something less, but I'll be driving it stock all winter, and saving, so I can always swap a vr6 in after winter.

As for the teg and lude, I love em cause you can make em fast, and very hot looking, I just haven't found a srv under 10, or a teg gsr for under 10, but then again I can buy and swap after winter.

C'mon guy, you don't need A/C, I hate it, never use it and my car is like an oven, just get one with a sunroof and roll down your windows in the summer, I have never used A/C and I have a black car with a black interior.
