Tire popped help!

One of my tires was punctured and went flat over the winter when i try and put air in it the air seems to be coming out the side of the tire, i was wondering if punctures on the sides of tires can be repaired or do i have to buy some new rubber?

New Rubber....Sidewalls cannot be repaired...

But before you go and replace the tire...it might also be a bad bead seal which a tire shop can check and repair for you...
