A mix of latin, mediterranean, western and asian cuisine

Went with group of friends before heading to Armin show last thursday night, called for a 9pm reservation just in case it was busy only to find the place abour 3/4 full.
Externally the place looks dull, reminds me of old 70's houses but as soon you enter it's totally different, my friends and I felt a little out of place wearing jeans and sweater when the other costumers were wearing kakhis and dresses.

We ordered a bottle of white wine for starter and they gave us free complimentary "hummus & olives" and the naan bread was one of the best we've ever had.
We also ordered tempura lobsters and I had 2 oyster shots which was a little disappointing as it didn't taste fresh at all.

Our main courses were the Surf and Turf, Chilli Tagliatelle and the Pork Tenderloin, portion wise they looked small but we were full at the end of our meal.
I ordered panna cotta for dessert and we all just shared it.

All in all, food was great although a little pricey
The atmosphere was perfect, dim enough, confy seats, great decorations.
Perfect for dates and anniversaries.

My only complain is that there was no music playing on the background so you could hear people chattering all the time

Party of 4, total: $238.45

Hey if any of you guys have menTV (ch.99?) on shaw cable, there a locally produced show on there called 'man on a mission'. My moms production company does it (pyramid productions). Anyways, each show there's a segment featuring food and it is always filmed at Alloy!. I think its chef rogelio Herrra who does the show segments and he makes some AWESOME dishes.

I went to Alloy's for our 1 year anniversary. I was not impressed with the service. First, we were seated in a big table in the middle of the restaurant (when I called to make reservations, I clearly stated a nice romantic spot). Through out the dinner, our server only came when she brought out our food, didn't ask how our dinner was or refilled our drinks. For a fine dining place, the service was poor. The food was ok, my lamb was very salty. However, the atmosphere is very cosmo.

Just went there tonight for our anniversary. It was nice.

Had the mussels and the scallops for appetizers. Both were excellent.

Had the arctic char (special for the night) and the pork tenderloin as the entrees. Both were decent. I didn't enjoy my arctic char very much but that was entirely my fault. It came well cooked and exactly as advertised so I can't really complaint. The flavors just didn't jive for me. That's what I get for trying something new. The pork was moist and well done. It wasn't great but it was good.

We shared the dark chocolate brownie for dessert and it wasn't that good. First of all it wasn't all that dark for a dark chocolate brownie. It was the only real disappointment of the meal.

Service was good. Our server was attentive and when she was not around the other waiters or bus boys were around to fill our waters and take away our plates or whatever.

Price was decent for what it is. Our meal came to $140 all together with pop to drink so not that bad for 2 appys, 2 entrees and a dessert.

I would go back again but I definitely preferred Sky 360 overall.

I thought that was odd too... reserved a table for two and got a random four-person table in the middle of the dining room.

Only other complaint was the seasoning on the oyster app. Food was amazing (Duck for me, Surf & Turf for her, and shared the prawn ceviche and oysters for appetizers), server was attentive for the most part.

Crappy location, really good decor.

We both commented that some music would complete the picture as well.

Maybe a white baby grand piano somewhere in there.

I've always worn either business casual or nice jeans/shoes and a collared shirt. No hats or sneakers.
