HAHAHA EFFIN' SWEET!

When the stage two rockets kicked in, I was indeed in awe.

Slow motion made it even BETTER!

It's impressive to compare it to a jet, where 700mph isn't that fast at all..

Maybe compared to a fighter jet.
747's are about the fastest commercial airliner and they only reach just over 700 mph TAS (at altitude) and about 570 IAS

Because that test was done at ground level that jet sled was still *easily* 100 - 150 mph faster than the max speed of a 747 at that altitude.

Of course a fighter jet.

WOW! that was amazing! It was soo cool when they replayed the impact in slow motion.

stupid. it's not the velocity that matters, it's the force.

Actually, it's the kinetic energy that matters, which is dependent on velocity. (mv^2)/2

Omg that car was completely gone before it even had a chance to start moving backwards from the impact of the sled.
