Is there anyway or where to get this repaired instead of buying a new tire? There is a big ass nail in the tire..please let me know if you have any experience with aftermarket rubber..ive also got rims on the tires.

Thanks.

Where is the nail located in the tire?

If its in the middle of the tread it can likely be fixed. Take it to a wheel or tire shop that has repairing services, they can likely fix it depending on the size and severity. If you get something throught the sidewall kiss that tire goodbye.

There's a Canadian Tire DIY kit too.

Had one nail that was actually bent from hitting my rim from the inside. It was a good 2" nail. Pulled it out and was good to go once I plugged the hole.

Like JTC said, if it's the side wall or you ran it flat and wrecked the side wall, you're getting a new tire.

I think Canadian Tire does some work with tires. Probably most wheel and tire places will fix it, just phone around etc.

buy a tire repair kit - they work well, they're cheap, and you can fix you tire yourself in 2 minutes

I am very challenged when it comes to this stuff lol..so id rather get it done professionally just thought someone would have had a similar experience on an aftermarket tire and where they got it fixed...gonna call around to a few places

I had this happen to me before, on my 30 and 35 series tires. I have bad luck with tires btw. I took it into Kal tire and they fixed it for free.

IMO the Do-It-Yourself tire repair kits never do quite as good of a job as when a shop actually takes the tire off the wheel and properly plugs the hole I know this from first hand experience working at a dealership as a Lube/Tire tech back in the day

As for places that might do it maybe Kaltire by Chinook :dunno:

buy a tire repair kit
i wouldnt go near those.. bring it into a kal-tire pref the one on 42nd ave and they will easily be able to stick a plug and patch in... for free too i think

I know that Fountain Tire charges something like $42 for a flat repair. A place will only do it for free if you purchased your tires from them in the first place.
