Anyone make the daily commute from panorama hills to the UofC? How long does it take during rush hour? Do you take 14th or Shaganapi?

Any thoughts about Panorama hills as a place to live?

Thanks
Sean

Thanks for the input, I was thinking more about driving times. But I guess I should also think about the bus. parking isn't cheap!

14th is probably quicker since you can turn after the golf course and sneak in the back way. But I don't live up north so I don't know for sure, just speculating. Mapquest should know which is quicker.

center st. -> (4th st. if you want but doesn't really make too much of a difference) -> mcknight/john laurie -> charleswood

14th st. -> john laurie -> charleswood

14th st. -> 24th ave.

usually there's not too much congestion along these routes.

The quickest would be to take Country Hills down to Shaganappi then either 32nd or John Laurie depending on where you need to go. I usually drive up there around 8:30am and there is usually no traffic. Winter is a different story.

I know alot of people that moved/live in panorama and even coventry and love it.

I live in Panorama...I always take Country Hills to Shag to 32nd...to get to Lot 10 I find it to be the fastest...otherwise I take Shag to Crowchild to 32nd.

I find Shag to be faster than 14 st, esp if you miss the arrow for turning from Country Hills to 14th.

In extreme rush hour maybe 14th would be faster because of the backup at Shag/John Laurie.

It takes anywhere between 15-20 minutes depending on traffic lights...you can get there in about 12 minutes at nighttime.

During rush hour, both 14 St and Shag have their gridlock spots, but likely you will fare better if you whip down 14 St to John Laurie and then take Charleswood Dr.

It's been a while since I have had to commute at rush, but I usually take 14th -> John Laurie -> Charleswood (living in the Huntington-Beddington area).

Not too bad, sometimes it backs up a bit near the winter club though, but it is not too long of a wait if you are exiting right there.

Watch for the playground zone on Charleswood Dr.
