My personal favorite protein drink is:
1 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Frozen Berries
1 Banana
3/4 Cup of 1% or Skim Milk
1.5 Scoops of Protein (Chocolate Flavour)
1 Scoop of L-Glutamine
1 Scoop of BCAA's
Toss that in a magic bullet or a blender and then enjoy
Fuck some of the shit I have drank over the past three years has been vile. I mean rank! My girlfriend took a sip of a tuna shake I made and gagged. Who cares what it tastes like all you need to know is that it is going to do your body good. So quit complaining and bottoms up!

Nothing else goes in my shakes other than water. The protein I use is just pure whey isolate. No flavoring, no additives. Hence, the thread.
That and i'm a complete bitch over how my food tastes. Really picky.

LOL then you have nothing to bitch about....picky about how things taste but you have plain whey...
TP flavor packets ftw, use the natural if you don't like sucralose.
For a treat... peanut butter & berries...
Just like a PBJ samich.

These are more of a morning meal replacement, but can be used throughout the day. The 2 teaspoons of whey is pretty weak, so I normally just add a full scoop from my whey powder.

My favorite thing to mix with my protein.... water hahaha.
But seriously now. Dextrose and water with post workout. Pretty simple there.
If it's more of a meal replacement then the possibilities open.
Some of my faves.
French Van Frozen Yogurt (small scoop)
Skim Milk (only about 250ml)
1 scoop Syntha 6 Vanilla
Half of a banana.
1-2tbsp Peanut Butter.
Tastes great with or without the frogurt.
Basically anything with Syntha 6 is great. Again if you're looking for more of a meal replacement those are good options. Dark berries go great with the Vanilla or the Strawberry as well.

I go to sobeys and buy a bag of frozen berries. Blend that with 8oz of water, 2 scoops of vanilla whey protein, and 2scoops of glutamine.
If I'm lazy, I'll do vanilla whey protein, glutamine, and OJ. Kind of tastes like a creamsicle.

I can't stand the taste of whey. I try to eat a lot of meat but if I have to, Cranberry or Pineapple/Orange juice mix with the powder. It's nothing fancy and I down it as if I'm in a contest lol :nut:

lol no but its rich in estrogenic compounds.

If i remember correctly, large amounts also cause reduced thyroid activity.
Make sure you know which study they are using as basis for the things they say in those articles though. Some experiments had the test subjects take in ridiculous amounts of soy to get those results. They pretty much ate nothing but soy products.
If your using only a little, there probably isn't any measurable effect on you. Given you arn't using soy extract.

You guys usually put milk or water? Why wouldnt you want that extra protien boost? or is it because of fat contents?
