My old desktop pc just packed it in. I went onto Windows Update website which I hadn't done for a while. I dl'ed a bunch of updates, then shut down the pc.
Now it won't start again. I can get to BIOS, and it will try to boot, but keeps coming back to the black screen that says "Windows experienced a problem with the last boot, please boot in safe mode..."
I would rather make my old one work, but lack knowledge to do this. There is data on the hard drive I'd really like to salvage (photos mostly).
So, long story short I need to buy a used computer. I'd like something 1-2 years old. I don't need a keyboard, mouse or monitor.
Please let me know if you've got something and how much.
